Experimental Documentary Short Film

SYNOPSIS

After the loss of her father, Bushra turns to cinema as a passage through grief, fragility, and the silences that mourning leaves behind. She meets others who have experienced loss, listens to them, films them, but slowly, the camera turns back toward her own unfinished grief.

At home, her mother spends time knitting, passing the hours, threading strands of wool without a clear purpose. Yet in those repeated gestures, something soft begins to mend. Meanwhile, Bushra edits and experiments. She sits before footage she once captured of her father’s eyes. The eyes become his presence; a space where she can speak to him, and where he, in some way, remains.
